  32. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  34.    - 486 66 MHz (Pentium recommended)
  35.    - 8 MB of  RAM

  44. INSTALLATION
  45.  
  46.   To install HoverRace you need to unzip the HoverRace package to a
  47.   temporary folder. From there you just need to run the Setup program.
  48.  
  49.   If you already have an older HoverRace program installed on your
  50.   computer just reinstall the new version in the same folder, this
  51.   will upgrade your HoverRace program and prevent any tracks or 
  52.   configutation lost.

  55. STARTING HOVERRACE
  56.  
  57.   You can run HoveRace from your Windows START menu. Just click on the 
  58.   HoverRace icon in the HoverRace folder.

  61. PLAYING ON THE INTERNET 
  62.  
  63.   Just need to press F2 in the game and you will be automatically
  64.   connected to our FREE players matching service.
  65.  
  66.   You should try the INTERNET mode to enjoy this game at the maximum.

  68.   To type a message in the Internet Room type in the white box at the 
  69.   bottom of the screen.

  71.   note: Use only Microsoft TCP Stack and Dialer. "Internet Connect for
  72.         Windows 95(CORE)" do not work with HoverRace.

  75. USEFULL TIPS

  77.    "Press SHIFT to advance"
  78.        In HoverRace the default key to make your HoverCraft mode if 
  79.        the SHIFT key. The UP arrow is used for jumping.

  82.    "Do not get discouraged if you do not drive well at first"
  83.  
  84.        Driving an HoverCraft is not a complex task but it require 
  85.        some dexterity. After 15 minutes of practice you will be 
  86.        able to drive the HoverCraft like an pro.

  89.    "HoverCraft can be controlled while they not touch ground"
  90.  
  91.        This is very useful to avoid to fall down in a trap when 
  92.        jumping.

  99. COMMON ERRORS

  101.   "ddraw.dll not found"
  102.  
  103.       You need to install DirectX on your system. Most new games will 
  104.       soon use DirectX so it is a good idea to install it now. You can 
  105.       found Direct X on GrokkSoft site:

  109.   "dsound.dll not found"
  110.  
  111.       Usually this mean that DirectX have not been correctly installed.
  112.       You must install the DirectSound component to be able to play 
  113.       HoverRace. This component must be installed even if you have no 
  114.       sound card on your system.
  115.  
  116.       You need to reinstall DirectX on your system. Most new games will 
  117.       soon use DirectX so it is a good idea to install it now. You can

  123.   "Direct sound error"  or
  124.   "HoverRace crash"

  126.        If you have a SB32AWE sound card you should not use the new 
  127.        drivers provided by CreativeLab. They are incompatible with 
  128.        DirectSound. You should use drivers provided with Windows or
  129.        the original drivers that comes with your sound card.

  132.   "I only see a gray screen when I start a game"
  133.  
  134.        Try to switch to full screen by pressing F8 or F9(try both) when 
  135.        the game is started.

  138.   "The game look ugly"

  140.        Try to increase the resolution. You can resize the window or you 
  141.        can choose a higher resolution in the "Setting" menu.

  144.   "Refresh rate is too slow"

  146.        Try to reduce screen resolution. You can either select the 
  147.        320x200 display mode by pressing F8 or you can reduce displayable 
  148.        area with the minus"-" key.

  184.   protected by the Canadians copyright laws and international treaty

  186.   rights are reserved to GrokkSoft inc.  You may not reverse engineer, 
  187.   decompile, or disassemble HoverRace.

  190.   personal use. Those you did not paid the registration fee are   
  191.   allowed to use a limited set of features of the game. Those who paid 
  192.   the registration fee are allowed to use all the features of the
